Marine Corps Veteran | Benghazi Survivor | Co-Author of 13 Hours mark oz geist

Mark “Oz” Geist is a Marine Corps veteran, law enforcement officer, and one of the heroes of the 2012 Benghazi attack. As a member of the Annex Security Team, he played a vital role in saving over 25 American lives during the 13-hour siege—a story chronicled in the New York Times bestselling book and major motion picture 13 Hours.

After serving 12 years in the Marine Corps, Geist became a Deputy Sheriff in Teller County, Colorado, where he served as liaison to the Vice Narcotics and Intelligence Unit in Colorado Springs. His background in military intelligence, law enforcement, and international security gives him a unique perspective on leadership, decision-making under pressure, and the values of service and resilience.

Detective Chris Kotrodimos - Corroborating Witness Testimony through Digital Evidence – The Jeweler: No Body Triple Homicide Case Study

Retired Detective Chris Kotrodimos brings decades of investigative experience to this compelling case study. With involvement in over 200 homicide cases and more than 100 major crimes, Kotrodimos explores how digital evidence can be used to corroborate witness testimony in a murder cases. Known for his work on some of Utah’s most high-profile cases, he continues to serve the field as an investigative consultant and adjunct faculty member. He also volunteers with the Utah Cold Case Coalition, supporting ongoing efforts to solve long-standing mysteries.

Chief Deputy Douglas Hart - Lori Vallow Daybell Case Study (Idaho)


Chief Deputy Douglas Hart offers an inside look into one of the most widely followed criminal cases in recent years—the Lori Vallow Daybell investigation. A retired FBI Supervisory Senior Resident Agent with 27 years of federal service, Hart brings deep expertise in violent crime, gang activity, and multi-defendant cases. Now serving with the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office, his experience leading complex investigations makes this a must-attend session for anyone interested in modern law enforcement and criminal justice.
